“Ocean View Apartments are ideally situatedoff the main road, but close to many Island facilities including restaurants, cafes, general store, bike hire, post office, and the only jetty on Lord Howe is only 100 metres away.
Also close by are Lagoon Beach for a quiet swim, and Old Settlement and Ned's Beach for great snorkelling and fish feeding. And it's only a short climb up the back paddock to get a great panoramic view of the Island and lagoon.
Set amidst subtropical foliage of Kentia palms and ferns our comfortable modern studio and family units have fully equipped kitchenettes and other home comforts.
Indoor facilities might begin with our large refurbished lounge and recreation area which was part of the original homestead. There is a pool and a table tennis table, a selection of games, a small library and plenty of room to just sit and relax.
Outside there is a super grass tennis court (for Ocean View guests only) where tennis balls and racquets are provided. Not far away is a 12 x 6 metre saltwater swimming pool around which are lounge chairs to sit and soak up the sun.
Then there are free covered BBQs close to units, a free guest laundry, and a free BBQ fish pack when available. Each evening there is free transport to restaurants.
We have our on fishing and sightseeing cruiser, the 11.5M MVCarina above. All gear and bait is supplied but there is an extra fee for its use by guests who have priority in its availability. Fishing around world heritage Lord Howe Island is rated as amongst the best in the world. It is an experience you can't leave without”
Ocean View features a large lounge and recreation area, which is the original homestead, has a pool and table tennis table, games and a small library. There is a supergrass tennis court and a 12 x 6 metre saltwater swimming pool. Guests are welcome to use any of the BBQ’s in the grounds and make use of the free laundry facilities. Ocean View has pushbikes for hire and will transfer you to any of the restaurants in the evening if you do not wish to walk.
