OUR Thoughts on Islander Lodge Apartments, Middlegate Road
Views forever!
The outlook from Islander Lodge Apartments is something that most travellers to Norfolk Island only experience by driving, cycling or walking along Middlegate Road or perhaps, Rooty Hill Road.  We reckon this must be the closest accommodation you can get to the picturesque & historic Kingston area of Norfolk Island and the view from the apartments is staggeringly beautiful; from the golf club to the left as you look out from your lounge or patio, to the main wharf and the Bumbora Reserve to the right.  Between these points you get a close-up view of the old convict ruins of Kingston with Nepean Island with Phillip Island a little further out.  You never tire of this view from first light in the morning to sunset in the evening and thank goodness for digital cameras as you just can’t help but keep on taking photo after photo as the moods of the days and the nights unfold before you.  

Islander Lodge is AAA Rated 3½ Star (Self-Catering) and we always find it comfortable and well maintained.  The 5 One Bedroom Apartments are all side-by-side in the one block and all have the same wonderful views out front.  Being located on the hill means the open car parking area is below and guests either walk up 20-or-so steps or take the gently curved footpath (no steps) off to one side to reach the apartments.

As Islander Lodge is a part of the Norfolk Pines Group which includes Borry’s Car Rental Company. Guests at Islander Lodge have complimentary access to the synthetic grass tennis court at Ocean Breeze Cottages which is another Norfolk Pines Group property as well as the Transit Lounge and luggage storage facility at Borry’s Rental Cars if required.

Your Accommodation Options
There is only one style of accommodation at Islander Lodge.  All the units are One Bedroom Apartments and a good size at 50m2; each one has a pleasant patio out front which is furnished with an outdoor table and 2 chairs.  The bathrooms are modern and include a shower (no bath). The living room has comfortable lounge and dining furniture and the kitchen features a full-size fridge, microwave, full-size gas stove and cook top and a dishwasher as well as being fully stocked with crockery and cutlery.

Maximum Occupancy: 2 guests
Existing Bedding: 1 King Bed or 2 Single Beds
Additional Bedding: A baby (under 2 years of age) in a cot may be added over and above the maximum occupancy allowance.

Getting To and From Islander Lodge
 
Complimentary return airport transfers are provided.
A small 4-door rental car (from Borry’s Rentals) is included with all accommodation bookings at Islander Lodge. Insurance with an excess of $2500, is included.  However, if guests prefer, they may pay $10.00 a day to reduce the excess to $500.  This payment is made direct to Borry’s Rentals.

Kids’ Policy
Children of all ages are welcome all year.

Official check-in and checkout times are:
Check-in: 12:00 noon
Check-out: 10:00am

Resort Cancellation Policy
Bullet 
All cancellations must be made in writing
Bullet Cancellations or amendments made 7 days or less
     prior to scheduled arrival incur a cancellation fee
     equal to 100% of the services booked.
Bullet No Shows are treated as cancellations and charged
     accordingly
